The question of certification applies to every professional field. Why does anyone need professional certification? Why should you get certified?
A certification program tests the knowledge, skills and abilities to perform a job. Whereas, a certificate program assesses whether a student has learned specific objectives provided in an educational or training program. Becoming certified is evidence of a minimum level of professional competence.
You should consider getting certified by BCPE for the following reasons:
We offer one full professional certification, with a choice of designation.
The Associate certification is an optional, temporary stepping stone to professional certification.
All certificants pay an annual renewal fee due on December 31st each year. There is a late fee for payments not received by this date.
The Professional certificant has to recertify every 5 years by the Continuance of Certification process.
BCPE continues to support and maintain the professionals who have achieved CEA status. However, BCPE is no longer accepting applications for CEA certification.
